9:00am to 10:30am - Workshop: Presenter: Shelly Tochluk Title: "Unpacking White Identity: Exploring Personal Journeys on the Road to Antiracism" Description: This workshop, led by author Shelly Tochluk, provides a safe and supportive space for participants to delve into the complexities of white identity and its impacts on an individual’s approach to discussions of privilege, systemic racism, and equity. Through guided discussions and reflective exercises, attendees will explore their own experiences with race and its psychological effects, gaining insights to inform their journey towards becoming effective allies in the fight against racism.

11:00am to 12:30pm - Workshop: Presenter: Shelly Tochluk Title: "From Awareness to Action: Implementing Antiracist Strategies in Everyday Life" Description: In this interactive workshop, Shelly Tochluk offers practical strategies to support engagement in meaningful antiracist action. Participants will learn how to identify and move past internal, psychological barriers that disrupt equity work to become more reliable advocates for justice within their communities who more competently contribute to the dismantling of systemic racism. Through self-reflective exercises and collaborative dialogue, attendees will feel empowered to develop stronger connections that lead to tangible differences in the pursuit of antiracism.

1:30pm to 2:45pm - Poetry Circle: Presenter: Mwalimu Van Putten Title: "Think, Learn, Laugh, Act: Poetic Dialogue for Consciousness" Description: An award-winning poet, as well as an African-centered educator, Mwalimu Van Putten utilizes poetry from her six books to facilitate conscious dialogue. She engages with thought-provoking poetry on history, politics, race, wellness, spirituality and healing, incorporating current events, insights, song and what she calls the “lessons of empowerment.”

3:00pm to 4:30pm - Workshop: Presenter: Shelly Tochluk Title: "Engaging in Difficult Dialogues: Expanding Engagement on the Antiracist Journey" Description: This workshop supports participants to more effectively engage with family, friends, and colleagues to expand awareness on topics related to race, racism, and privilege. Shelly Tochluk will introduce a set of strategies for engaging in productive conversations with people operating from different positions on the white identity journey. Through a role-playing exercise, attendees will gain practical tools for fostering empathy, understanding, and solidarity within their communities
